I picked up 'Libraries in Japanese Society' by Toshokan and it's been a fascinating read. The way it delves into how libraries are integrated into the cultural fabric of Japan really caught my interest. A must-read for anyone into library sciences or Japanese culture!

Not what I expected
I thought 'Libraries in Japanese Society' would be more engaging but unfortunately, it felt like a textbook. Some of the insights were interesting, but I hoped for more personal stories or anecdotes. Maybe better for academic use than casual reading.

A bit dry in some parts
The book has great information, but I found some chapters a little hard to get through. Toshokan presents a lot of data, which can be overwhelming. Still, I appreciated learning about the evolution of libraries in Japan.

Great resource for research
As someone studying library science, I found this book from Toshokan to be an invaluable resource. It covers a lot of ground regarding the functionality and history of libraries in Japan. Just wish it had more case studies to illustrate points better.
