This is a book of contemporary road and comparison tests, new model introductions, technical & specification data, driving impressions, on and off road tests, longterm reports and buying second hand. Models covered include FWD Pickup, Station Wagon, LX, De Luxe, Petrol and Diesel. The first Land Cruiser appeared at about the same time as the LandRover. Styling changes occurred in 1952 with the modern range designated F25s and F28s. The FJ43 appeared in the mid1960s, the 40 and 45 Series in Australia in 1967/8. The FJ55 was introduced in 1969, the 43 series continued to be made in Japan and the 40 and 45 Series had improvements made throughout the 1970s. Production of the FJ55 ceased in 1980 to be followed by the Series 60. This was only available with an inline, sixcylinder engine of 3980cc. A generous fiveseater, and good load carrier, there were few changes made to it after production commenced.

I was hoping for more detailed specs on each model included in the Toyota Land Cruiser book. While it has some great info and nice pictures, I found it a bit lacking in the technical details I wanted. Still a fun read, though!

I bought this Toyota Land Cruiser portfolio for my husband who is a huge fan of these vehicles. The road test book covers all the models from '59 to '87 and is filled with interesting details. He loves flipping through it, and it’s perfect for anyone looking to know more about their favorite SUV!

Somewhat disappointed with the content
I bought this for my dad, expecting a comprehensive look at the Toyota Land Cruiser history. However, I felt some parts were a bit shallow. The layout is nice, but I wish there were more detailed road test comparisons. He still enjoys it, just wanted more depth!

Arrived damaged, unfortunately
I was really excited to receive the Toyota Land Cruiser portfolio, but when it got here, the cover was dented and a few pages were crinkled. I’m hoping for a replacement, as the book seems like it will be great once it’s in good condition!

This gold portfolio is a treasure for anyone interested in vintage Toyota Land Cruisers. The information is thorough, and the photos are fantastic. My only complaint is that it took a bit longer to arrive than expected, but it was worth the wait!
