Efforts to improve transfer and articulation policies and practices are critical to maintaining transfer as an essential community college mission in the 1990s and beyond. This volume explores various aspects of transfer and articulation including its history, the role of the state, controversies over transfer rate definitions and formulas, collaborative models of articulation, and effective use of interinstitutional faculty deliberations in the articulation process.
