Utilizing the largescale instruction, flexibility, and highlyfacilitated and interactive learning that online learning and its associated facilities put at our disposal within an instructional design is a long step ahead towards providing learners with the capabilities required to encounter the complexities of the real professional world they are to enter. This book set out to investigate the effect of incorporating wiki in the webbased social constructivist specialized translatortraining workshops on the Iranian Universities trainee translators performance; participation in two different categories: aggregate edits and marginal notes; and attitude towards online class structure, collaborative learning, wiki, and the peerassessment model of evaluation, when compared with the conventional contact workshops. This study should shed some light on the positive effects of utilizing wiki in the webbased workshop on the performance of the future translators as a result of the more developed translation and translator competences; on the participation of trainee translators; and on their attitude towards this teaching and evaluating model.
