William Wordsworths two most extensive translation projects were his modernization of selected poems by Chaucer and his unfinished translation of Virgils Aeneid. Bruce E. Graver offers the texts, a complete account of their genesis and publication, a discussion of Wordsworths practice as a translator.

The book has some great translations, but I found a few passages a little hard to follow. It's still good for anyone studying Chaucer and Virgil, though. Just wish the explanations were clearer!

Not what I expected
I bought this thinking it would have more commentary on the texts instead of just translations. It’s well done, but if you're looking for in-depth analysis, this might not be it. Still, the quality is nice.

Great for Literature Lovers
I picked up 'Translations of Chaucer and Virgil' for a literature class and it’s been a fantastic resource. The translations really capture the essence of the original texts. The hardcover feels sturdy too, which is a plus!
