An American who has lived abroad for more than twenty years, Beth Nelson creates art that is born of a love of travel and dedicated to the art of writing. In Stewart, Tabori & Chang's Postcards from the Basque Country, she captured the heart and soul of Spain's Atlantic coast in words and pictures. In this new gift range, she continues to be inspired by the rich romanticism of the region. Trained as a printmaker, Nelson opened her London shop, Two Formosa Street, in the mid1980s. There, she began to handmake the stationery products that led to the establishment of Printed Matter Ltd. Specializing in custom work and small editions, her client list grew to include the Royal Academy of Arts, Barneys New York, The Conran Shop, and Harrods, and her ecologically sound paper products gained worldwide recognition. This blank journal provides the perfect place to record one's impressions of the world. Beautifully decorated with 8 new color pieces of Beth Nelson art, it contains a contrast of the familiar and the foreign that is perfect for any traveler.
