Foley also taught in the Athabascan Indian village of Tetlin, where his duties included helping a young woman adjust to the relentless pursuit of men. TUNDRA TEACHER examines Foley's relationship with the women in his life, his students, Native Alaskans, and fellow teachers. Told with humor, honesty, and a healthy dose of political incorrectness, it delves into a sometimes strange and always fascinating world.
