Konkret wird die Methode der Allegorese und Typologie untersucht und bei Texten von Origenes und Ambrosius von Mailand verdeutlicht. Nach einer kurzen historischen Hinfhrung zu den genannten Kirchenvtern, schliet sich eine Begriffsbestimmung an, bei der vor allem auf Autoren wie de Lubac und Danielou, sowie Zenger und Childs rekurriert wird. Daraufhin wird die Methode der Allegorie und Typologie anhand zweier Textabschnitte von Origenes und Ambrosius von Mailand ber Genesis 22 (Das Opfer Abrahams) verdeutlicht. Den Abschluss bildet eine kurze kritische Wrdigung der vorgestellten Methode.
