Lorsqu'il est rentr au port, le petit garon n'tait plus avec lui. Ds lors, il s'est retrouv accus de la mort de son enfant (dont le corps n'a jamais t retrouv) et a t incarcr pendant plusieurs annes. Seule l'preuve du retour sur le lieu de la disparition pourra lui offrir la renaissance. Philippe Besson explore ici le chemin tonnant des sentiments humains pour faire surgir, par miracle, la tendresse au sein d'un paysage austre et rude, aussi aride que le coeur de ceux qui l'habitent. Une pice de thtre tire de "L'Arriresaison" a t cre sur France Culture et sera prochainement monte Paris.
