La campaa sur cordobesa, esa vasta regin que se mantuvo con imprecisos lmites hasta fines de los aos 1870, con sus espacios institucionales, con su dinmica de las relaciones sociales y las estrategias de sus actores desplegadas en un espacio en transformacin y en conexin con la regin circundante, es objeto central de anlisis en este libro. A travs de ellas se ha develado un problema de fondo que desde el espacio local y en el lapso transcurrido entre aqulla dcada y la del 90, permite visualizar su desenvolvimiento en la trama mayor de la repblica federal y representativa: las estrategias de una lite local para posicionarse en las relaciones de poder regional.
