El objetivo de este trabajo es demostrar la conveniencia de la estrategia territorial, con enfoque de desarrollo local, aplicada por la Secretara de Empleo del MTEySS de Argentina para atender el problema del empleo. En la seccin de desarrollo se comienza caracterizando los alcances de la intervencin territorial, poniendo el foco en el problema del empleo dentro del lmite temporal establecido, la respuesta al mismo por parte de la Secretara y la decisin de utilizar la estrategia de intervencin territorial. A modo de ejemplificar, se desarrolla la descripcin y anlisis de dos casos, los municipios de: San Fernando del Valle de Catamarca y Cipolletti, el primero ubicado en la regin Noroeste del pas y el segundo en la regin Sur, los cuales darn cuenta de la problemtica existente y las estrategias puestas en marcha por cada gobierno municipal a fin de plasmar en hechos los objetivos propuestos y comprometidos de acuerdo a la agenda de dichos municipios. Se concluye con una resea acerca de las lecciones aprendidas sobre la temtica y los desafos ms importantes en la bsqueda de soluciones ms efectivas, desde una perspectiva personal.
