In den fur Skovoroda wesentlichen Bereichen der Erkenntnistheorie, der Gotteslehre, der Poetik und der Ethik kann die Autorin eine koharente Lekture seiner Schriften verfolgen und im Vergleich mit zahlreichen Quellen belegen. Aus der dargelegten Verortung Skovorodas in der kultur und religionsgeschichtlichen Tradition Europas ergeben sich daruber hinaus neue geistesgeschichtliche Aspekte fur die Zeit der Aufklarung in den Regionen des Russischen Reiches.
