Schwerpunkt der Betrachtungen sollen jene Bedingungen oder Faktoren sein, welche Einfluss auf den Prozess der Professionalisierung haben knnen. Hierzu wird zunchst die Entwicklung des Chorwesens von seinen Anfngen im 18. Jahrhundert an, einschlielich der verschiedenen Chormodelle wie der Singakademie oder den Liederkrnzen, beleuchtet werden. Anschlieend soll als eine Art Sonderfall innerhalb dieser Entwicklung auf den Frauenchor unter der Leitung von Johannes BRAHMS eingegangen werden. Zum Abschluss werden die ermittelten Faktoren einander gegenbergestellt und hinsichtlich ihrer Art und Wirkung auf die Professionalitt bewertet.
