Unexpected Attraction is a classic romance in the sense that two people are forced to work with each other even though they have major issues and secrets that they will not share.There is a great deal of distrust on Andrea Taylor's part, and reasonably so. As for Jake Polegato, he has his own issues to deal with if he wants a relationship with Andrea.The most striking part of this story is the fact that it is played out in the midst of several serious bullying episodes that take place involving Andrea's teenage daughter.Dealing such issues can sometimes take away from the romance, but in this case it seems to have made the moment in the story where Andrea and Jake commit to their love for each other even more powerful.
