Vor diesem Hintergrund hat der Rat der EU im Zuge des Antidiskriminierungsprogramms die Richtlinie zur Verwirklichung des Grundsatzes der Gleichbehandlung von Mnnern und Frauen beim Zugang zu und bei der Versorgung mit Gtern und Dienstleistungen' erlassen, die u. a. auf das Privatversicherungsgeschft abzielt und das Geschlecht als Tarifierungsmerkmal verbieten will. Als Konsequenz ergeben sich sog. UnisexTarife wie sie bereits in der gesetzl. Rentenversicherung existieren. Beruhend auf dieser Richtlinie hat die Regierung der Bundesrepublik Deutschland zum Juli 2004 das AltersvorsorgeVertrgeZertifizierungsgesetz gendert, nach dem ab 2006 Vertrge nur noch staatlich gefrdert werden, wenn eine geschlechtsunabhngig berechnete Altersversorgung vorgesehen ist (RiesterVertrge). In dieser Arbeit soll der Frage nachgegangen werden, ob die Richtlinie des Rates der EU bzw. die Verpflichtung zur geschlechtsneutralen Kalkulation in der privaten Rentenversicherung bei den RiesterVertrgen konomisch sinnvoll ist und sich als weiterer Schritt zur Gleichbehandlung der Geschlechter eignet.
