The higher education sector of Pakistan exhibit contrasts both in terms of governance and organizational culture. Amidst these inconsistencies lie an inherent assumption that there exists a proportional relationship between leadership behaviors and organizational culture and that ineffective leadership behaviors have predominantly manifested in a cultural dilemma in Pakistani higher education. Ironically, despite these implicit assumptions no serious attempts have been made to empirically explicate the relationship between leadership and organizational culture, within the context of Pakistani higher education. The current study attempts to elucidate this connection through empirical evidence thereby contributing to the much scant knowledge base pertaining to Pakistani higher education. The study is expected to be of particular value to those exhibiting an interest in cross cultural organizational studies.
