Was lag also nher, als sich in einem wissenschaftlichen Werk mit diesem Themenkreis zu beschftigen? Der Begriff der Semieffizienz bezglich der Kapitalmrkte ist im Schrifttum so nicht auffindbar. Hierbei handelt es sich um eine Begriffsneuschpfung des Autors, die in der vorliegenden Abhandlung geschaffen und als These zu hinterfragen sein wird. Die Discounted CashFlow (DCF) Analyse wurde deshalb als Fokus ausgewhlt, da sie im Verlauf der jngeren Zeit eine immer wichtigere Bedeutung bekommen hat. Gerade in den USA als Vorreiter der an den Interessen der Eigenkapitalgeber ausgerichteten Unternehmensfhrung (ShareholderValue Ansatz) als dem wichtigsten Kapitalmarkt der Welt ist diese Methode heute der Standard zur Unternehmensbewertung schlechthin. Ebenfalls untersttzt wird die Bedeutung dieses Verfahrens dadurch, dass der durch das Institut der Wirtschaftsprfer (IDW) publizierte Prfungsstandard IDW ES 1 n. F. explizit auf die Tatsache hinweist, dass die Discounted CashFlow Analyse ein zugelassenes Instrumentarium zur Durchfhrung von Unternehmensbewertungen darstellt.
