Diese Arbeit hat drei Schwerpunkte. Der erste ist die kritische Darstellung der Substanzwert und der Ertragswertmethode. Zweitens soll auf die Free Cash Flow Methode genauer eingegangen werden, da sie in der Praxis am hufigsten angewandt wird. Der dritte Schwerpunkt liegt in der Prsentation des Economic Value Added als Verfahren der Unternehmensbewertung. Vorab sollen in diesem Kapitel die, in dieser Arbeit, verwendeten Begriffe definiert werden. In der Folge, werden einige allgemeine Probleme der Unternehmensbewertung behandelt. Im zweiten Kapitel werden die sogenannten klassischen Methoden der Unternehmensbewertung prsentiert. Dabei steht jedoch weniger der genaue mathematische Algorithmus, sondern vielmehr die hinter diesen Methoden stehende wirtschaftliche Idee im Vordergrund. Anschlieend sollen diese Methoden auf Ihre Konvergenz mit den heutigen wissenschaftlichen Standards geprft werden. Aufgabe des dritten Kapitels ist es, die neueren Methoden der Unternehmensbewertung darzustellen. Es wird vor allem auf die Methode des Discounted Free Cash Flows eingegangen. Weiters wird jedoch auch die Unternehmensbewertung mittels Methoden der Optionsbewertung erlutert. Anschlieend wird im vierten Kapitel die Methode des Economic Value Added vorgestellt. Zu Beginn soll die Motivation, aus welcher der Economic Value Added entwickelt wurde, dargestellt werden. Danach wird der Economic Value Added vorgestellt und weiterfhrend als Verfahren der Unternehmensbewertung adaptiert. Abschlieend wird diese Methode kritisch betrachtet und mit den bisher vorgestellten Methoden verglichen. Im Schluwort werden die Ergebnisse dieser Arbeit nochmals kurz im berblick zusammengefat.
