Hierbei kann an die allgemeine Sport und Bewegungsbegeisterung der Kinder angeknpft werden. Dieser Bezugspunkt vermag es, das Motivationsniveau zu erhhen und den natrlichen Drang des Inquirierens auf den Bereich Geschichte zu justieren. Die Olympischen Spiele bieten die Chance, Zeiterfahrung und Historizittsbewusstsein zu vermitteln und die SchlerInnen in ihrer noch recht frhen Ausbildungsphase fr diese Dimensionen des Geschichtsbewusstseins zu sensibilisieren. Da die antiken Spiele als panhellenisches Fest zu charakterisieren sind, kann an selbigen noch einmal der Charakter des antiken Griechenlands (viele unabhngige Stadtstaaten, jedoch Gemeinsamkeiten in Sprache, Religion und Mythen) wiederholt werden. Da sich auch in Olympia die zuvor behandelten Gesellschaftsstrukturen widerspiegeln, wird auch an dieser Stelle das sozialkonomische Bewusstsein erneut tangiert.
