Honestly, I was pretty let down by this book. I expected more engaging content about urban politics, but it felt more like a textbook than a narrative. Also, the delivery took longer than expected, which added to my frustration. Wouldn't recommend it if you're looking for something lively.

This book has some great insights into the urban politics of early modern Europe, but I felt some chapters dragged on a little too much. It’s packed with info, which I appreciate, but not always the easiest to get through. Still, worth a read if you’re into the subject!
