Esta disertacin aplicada fue diseada para analizar el uso de comunidades de prctica, a fin de proporcionar a los profesores de educacin primaria que utilizan las tecnologas de la informacin y la comunicacin (TIC) en el aula, un espacio de interaccin en donde compartieran sus concepciones y formas de uso de las TIC, y esto pudiera posibilitar la construccin colectiva de saberes que enriquecieran la perspectiva individual y de grupo. Se plantearon las interrogantes cmo estn utilizando los profesores el material y recursos tecnolgicos en la escuela?, qu opinin tienen del uso de las TIC en la enseanza?, cmo influye su participacin en la comunidad de prctica en su uso del material y recursos tecnolgicos? Los resultados del estudio permiten afirmar que la participacin en la comunidad de prctica proporcion a los profesores varios beneficios: a) el incremento del uso de la tecnologa en su prctica docente, b) la conformacin de una visin compartida sobre los beneficios de utilizar la tecnologa en el aula y c) la discusin sobre la manera en que usan los recursos tecnolgicos de Enciclomedia en la escuela.
