Feeding of whole milk for raising calves is expensive in a country where demand of milk for human consumption is so high. Under these circumstances, we have to pay great attention on low cost alternate calf feeding programme. Considering these, the present research work was conducted to monitor the quality of soymilk as milk replacer for raising calves. Quality of soymilk was determined by conducting growth trials with crossbred dairy calves belonging to Bangladesh Agricultural University Dairy Farm, Mymensingh, Bangladesh. From the results, it was concluded that soymilk or combination of cow milk & soymilk as milk replacer could be used successfully for raising dairy calves. However, combination of cow milk & soymilk as milk replacer would be more appropriate to calves rather than feeding soymilk alone. This book will be helpful for those who are interested to raise the calf economically or those who working with calf raising facilities or calf feeding programme.
