Les rsultats ont rvl que les varits de laitue Vista et Vert sont considres plus sensibles au sel par comparaison avec Romaine et Augusta au stade de la germination. Les traits caractristiques de la sensibilit se rsument par un retard de la germination et une rduction du taux final de germination. Au niveau des radicules, une inhibition des activits des phosphatases acides et des phytases est observe chez la varit sensible Vista, et elle est associe une diminution de la quantit de phosphore remobilise partir des rserves de phytate. Par contre, une augmentation est note chez la varit Romaine. L'addition dacide gibbrellique dans le milieu d'imbibition des graines de laitue a amlior le pourcentage de germination, la croissance des radicules et des hypocotyles et a induit une augmentation des activits des phosphatases acides et des phytases chez les deux varits soumises aux conditions salines. Le prtraitement des graines par KNO3 a amlior la germination et la croissance des plantules et a entran un rehaussement des activits des phosphatases acides et des phytases au niveau des radicules, des hypocotyles et des cotyldons en condition de salinit.
