Unter groem Aufwand wurden die Zweitklssler aller Grundschulen in Dsseldorf auf ihre Sportmotorik hin getestet und mit ca. 200 Kindern aus Wegberg (Heinsberg) verglichen. Die Ergebnisse sind berraschend! Anhand der Ergebnisse wird auerdem der Versuch einer Erklrung vorgenommen. Ein ausfhrlicher Anhang erleichtert das Verstndnis der Vorgehensweise. Welche Leistungen erbringen Schler und Schlerinnen (im Folgenden Schler genannt) im Hinblick auf die motorischen Fhigkeiten Kraft, Ausdauer und Schnelligkeit bzw. auf die Ausprgung der Koordination und Gelenkigkeit? Welche Differenzen bestehen bezglich des motorischen Leistungsniveaus zwischen Kindern, die in stdtischen oder lndlichen Gegenden aufgewachsen sind? Spielt der Wohnort bei der Entwicklung sportmotorischer Fhigkeiten eine Rolle? Unterscheiden sich anthropometrische Parameter bei Stadt und Landkindern? Mit den obigen Fragen beschftigt sich die folgende Studie zur Untersuchung der motorischen Leistungsfhigkeit von Schlern aus Agglomerationsrumen, stdtischen und lndlichen Regionen. Die Antworten auf diese Fragen geben Auskunft ber den krperlichen und gesundheitlichen Zustand der jungen Bevlkerung in Bezug auf das Wohnfeld.
