Uns ist klar, dass wir oft die Initiatoren unserer Handlung und als solche frei handelnde Personen sind, die fr das, was sie tun, verantwortlich sind. Allerdings wissen wir auch, dass unsere Handlungen durch Geschehnisse der Vergangenheit, teilweise durch den Glauben an eine Fremdbestimmung durch Gtter und auch durch Naturgesetze determiniert sind. Letztendlich ist uns auch bekannt, dass Freiheit und Determinismus nicht miteinander vereint werden knnen . Vertreter dieser Unvereinbarkeit von Freiheit und Determinismus nennt man Inkompatibilisten' und die Vertreter, die der Ansicht sind, dass Freiheit gewhrleistet ist, da das zuknftige Entscheiden und Handeln vom epistemischen Standpunkt des Handelnden aus indeterminiert ist, nennt man (epistemische) Indeterministen'. In dieser Hausarbeit mit dem Thema Ist der Mensch frei und fr seine Handelungen verantwortlich? Ein Vergleich zwischen dem Inkompatibilismus und dem Kompatibilismus am Beispiel der Vertreter Chisholm und Dennett' mchte ich zwei wichtige philosophische Freiheits und Verantwortlichkeitstheorien erlutern und diese in einer kontroversen Diskussion miteinander vergleichen. Roderick M. Chisholm ist mit seinem Aufsatz Die menschliche Freiheit und das Selbst' dem Inkompatibilismus zuzuordnen und stellt die Gegenposition zu Daniel C.
