Un covering array (CA) es un objeto matemtico que garantiza una mxima cobertura con una mnima cardinalidad. Los covering arrays (CAs) han sido aplicados en reas como la medicina, la biologa, el diseo de materiales y recientemente en el diseo de pruebas de software y hardware. El proceso de construir CAs requiere verificar que todas las tcombinaciones de valores de las variables existan al menos una vez, dicho proceso es muy costoso computacionalmente cuando los parmetros del CA son considerablemente grandes (mas de 1000 variables, fuerzas superiores a 4), por lo cual, surge la necesidad de hacer uso de la Supercomputacin y la Computacin Grid. La conclusin principal de este trabajo, es que el proceso de verificacin de CAs es naturalmente paralelizable, de tal manera que puede beneficiarse no solo de la computacin paralela a nivel de un cluster de computadoras; sino que adems, puede descomponerse en una serie de trabajos totalmente independientes que pueden ejecutarse en un entorno Grid.
