La funcin primaria de la estructura es resistir las acciones a las que estar sometida. La resistencia de la estructura debe entenderse en sentido amplio y no restringirse solamente a la resistencia mecnica de las solicitaciones derivadas de las acciones actuantes. En particular, la resistencia a las acciones ambientales y la adecuada durabilidad durante el perodo de vida til previsto en el proyecto de la estructura son aspectos esenciales. Por estos motivos, en este trabajo de investigacin se propone obtener un estudio detallado de cada material que compone el hormign pretensado y, de esta forma, desarrollar una propuesta de modelo de vida til que estima cada tiempo de ingreso de los iones cloruro en cada uno de estos materiales, siendo un modelo que se asemeje a lo que ocurre en la realidad.
