Virulencia de cepas de Streptococcus uberis aisladas mastitis bovina: Caracterizacin fenotpica y genotpica de Streptococcu,Used

El xito de la implementacin de las estrategias de control sobre los patgenos contagiosos causantes de mastitis bovina se ha reflejado en un cambio en la etiologa de la enfermedad. As, se observa un aumento de la prevalencia de patgenos ambientales como Streptococcus uberis. Se confirmaron 43 cepas de S. uberis por la tcnica de polimorfismos de los fragmentos de restriccin. Del anlisis fenotpico de factores de virulencia se reconocieron 19 perfiles de virulencia. Se identificaron 14 perfiles genticos. En general, no se encontr relacin entre perfiles genticos, perfiles de virulencia, origen y tambo de procedencia. Adems, se investig la patognesis temprana mediante la induccin de mastitis experimental en cabras por inoculacin intramamaria de la cepa S. uberis IR47 aislada de mastitis clnica. La infeccin estuvo focalizada en la glndula mamaria y cedi gradualmente hacia las 24 horas. La cepa fue capaz de establecer una mastitis subclnica. Este estudio representa un avance en el conocimiento de los factores de virulencia de S. uberis y debe resultar muy til para los profesionales del campo de la microbiologa, biologa, medicina veterinaria y carreras afines.
