El propsito de la presente investigacin consisti en conocer e interpretar los sentidos y significados del Mtodo de Proyectos en la asignatura Qumica, como coconstrucciones sociales de los estudiantes cursantes de cuarto y quinto ao. Para ello, se realiz una investigacin cualitativa, bajo el paradigma socioconstruccionista, abordada fenomenolgicohermenuticamente, con apoyo en las premisas del interaccionismo simblico. El muestreo tuvo carcter tericointencional, en tanto se dio la palabra a aquellos participantes, cuyo discurso constitua una fuente de riqueza para la generacin de conocimiento. Las mltiples versiones de la realidad producidas en las transacciones intersubjetivas de los participantes fueron trianguladas con lo que dicen los autores y con el capital cultural del investigador, para profundizar y complejizar en el fenmeno. Los hallazgos que emergieron son: La trivializacin de la metodologa de proyectos oculta al docente de Qumica que no ensea Qumica, la metodologa de proyectos: un punto de encuentro entre estudiantes y docentes; y el como estudiante espectador se vuelve protagonista en los escenarios de la metodologa de proyectos.
