As a history buff, I was curious about the Civil War's personal narratives, and this book did not disappoint! The stories are well-written and immersive, truly giving you a sense of what soldiers faced. I couldn't put it down!

I expected more from this book given the reviews. Some of the stories felt flat, and there was a noticeable lack of variety in the soldiers' experiences. I wouldn't recommend it if you’re looking for something more detailed.

Great Gift for History Lovers
