Rahul Sankrityayan (9 April 1893 14 April 1963) Is An Important Writer Of 20Th-Century Hindi Literature. However, His Greatest Fame Stems From His Travelogues, And He Is Considered The Father Of Travel Literature In Hindi. Forty-Five Of His Seventy Years, He Traveled To Remote Locations In China, Tibet, And Central Asia. He Wrote Numerous Travelogues Based On His Travels. Among His Most Popular Works Is From The Volga To The Ganges. This Book, In A Captivating Narrative Style, Focuses On The Migration Of People From The Banks Of The Volga River In 6,000 Bc To The Banks Of The Ganges In 1942. He Was Awarded The Sahitya Akademi Award In 1958 For His Work History Of Central Asia, And The Padma Bhushan In 1963.
