Das "VolksKochbuch" entstand im Jahre 1905 und galt lange Zeit als das Standardwerk der traditionellen deutschen Kueche. Heute ist es nicht nur historisch interessant, sondern es enthaelt eine Vielzahl (man koennte auch Unzahl sagen) klassischer Rezepte. Es wandte sich in erster Linie an junge Ehefrauen und Haushaelterinnen und zeichnet so ungewollt auch ein wundervolles Sittenbild jener Zeit. Der alte Text wurde umfassend neu gesetzt.
