This book title Voluntarism in Tribal Society explores and describes voluntarism and processes in the context of Zeliangrong (Naga) society. In the present situation, there evolves two forms of volunteering in the society, one is expressed through the traditional institution like domestic (family) group, religion, and village council, and the second is the modern forms of voluntarism expressed through the voluntary organization (VO) and Non Governmental Organisation (NGO). The problem arises when one tries to define Volunteering and what activities are included and accepted under voluntarism. What is meant by voluntarism to this community and how they perceived it? The book study and explore the concept of Voluntarism and its process within the Tribal community of Zeliangrong (Naga) in changing context.
