Der Erzhler erzhlt eine Geschichte vom anfangs tumpen Parzival, der am Ende Gralsknig wird. Die Figur wandelt sich von einem unreflektierten, infantilen und draufgngerischen Charakter zum vorbildlichen Reprsentanten der Gralsgesellschaft. [...] Die Annahme liegt nahe, dass diese Vernderung innerhalb eines Entwicklungsprozesses stattfindet, der in der zitierten Prologuerung vorweg genommen wird.' Diesen erstmals dezidiert nachzuverfolgen, ist das Anliegen der Dissertation von Ruth Sassenhausen, auf welche ich mich in dieser Arbeit beziehen werde. Nach einer Abgrenzung des Entwicklungs vom Bildungsroman verfolgt sie mit Hilfe der Entwicklungspsychologie und den antiken/mittelalterlichen Vorstellungen des menschlichen Entwicklungsprozesses denjenigen des Parzival, welcher sich direkt aus dem inhaltlichen Aufbau des Werkes ergibt. Das Wolfram von Eschenbach diesen akzentuiert, untermauert sie dabei durch den Vergleich mit dem Perceval von Chrtien de Troyes. Legitimationsgrundlage fr eine literaturpsychologische Analyse des Inhaltes bietet das Postulat des Sternheimer Symposions von 1985: Eine Wissenschaft, die sich als Kulturwissenschaft versteht, kann nicht weiterhin historische Verhaltensweisen ignorieren und die Psyche des mittelalterlichen Menschen in ihrer Forschung aus
