Hierbei hierbei wird ein individuelles Schicksal intensiver beleuchtet, das des Peter Kranz, gespielt von Donevan Gunia. Peter vollzieht als Vertreter der Generation der Verfhrten' einen Wandel vom Mittter zum Befreier. Eben diesen Wandel soll die Hausarbeit anhand der im Vergleich zum gesamten Film wenigen aber bedeutungsstarken Auftritte Peters aufzeigen. Hierfr soll zunchst der historische Hintergrund beleuchtet und dann gezeigt werden, wie Eichinger und Hirschbiegel historischen Tatsachen Ausdruck verleihen. Der Anhang ermglicht durch die Auszge aus dem Drehbuch einen schnellen berblick ber die Geschehnisse jeder Szene, in der Peter auftritt. Das Einstellungsprotokoll beleuchtet im Detail die knstlerische Umsetzung, die nicht selten symboltrchtig Hinweise auf die Interpretation des Gesehenen liefert.
