These 2: Die Nebenwirkungen und die Wirkungsweise von Methadon sind die hauptschliche Ursache fr die hohe Prvalenz psychischer Strungen whrend der Substitution. Dargestellt wird die Situation von MethadonSubstituierten, wie sie sich auf einem "Abstellgleis" befinden, ohne die Mglichkeit und Hoffnung auf eine Verbesserung ihrer Lebenssituation. In chronologischer Reihenfolge werden in dieser Studie die historischen und gesellschaftlichen Zusammenhnge beschrieben, in denen Opiate konsumiert wurden. Dabei soll der Einfluss politischer, kultureller und gesellschaftlicher Interessen auf den Umgang mit Opiaten und den Konsumenten untersucht werden. About the Author Gerhard Haller, geb. 1957 in Gttingen, dort in einer rztefamilie aufgewachsen, absolvierte in Berlin ein Fachhochschulstudium zum Dipl. Sozialarbeiter/ pdagogen. In seiner Jugend interessierte er sich fr die damalige 68erProtestbewegung, alternative Lebensweisen und die gesellschaftlichen Aussteiger. Unter anderem aufgrund langjhriger eigener Erfahrungen als Suchtabhngiger, entschied er sich 1997 fr das Studium der Sozialpdagogik, insbesondere fr den Schwerpunkt "Gesundheit".
