Neben seiner Arbeit als DiplomPsychologe widmet er sich der Musik, Poesie und bildenden Kunst. Er ist sehr naturverbunden und die Natur ist die Quelle, aus der seine Kunst entsteht. Marten van den Berg schreibt Kurzgeschichten, Mrchen und Gedichte.
