The multidisciplinary approach taken in this study of the complex problems of violent and delinquent adolescents is of even greater promise than any of the results obtained thus far. The work presented in this volume ranges from interesting to genuinely exciting. What is of more importance, however, is the philosophy of the approach, which is far more comprehensive and integrative than has bee the usual custom in psychiatry in the past. When reading these chapters, the author is reminded of Freud's vision of neurophysiology and psychoanalysis being merged and the subsequent dream of Meyer the data to say that the dream has been fulfilled, but is more than mere optimism to say that the content of the dream is becoming more lucid.
