I bought this Haynes manual thinking it would cover everything for my 1983 Vanagon, but it lacks detail in certain areas. Some repairs still require other resources, which was frustrating. It’s okay for basic info but not deep dives.

I found the Haynes manual decent for my 1981 Vanagon, but some sections felt a little outdated. The tips were helpful, though, and it’s nice having a physical book instead of relying on online sources. Just wish there were more images!

Decent but needs updates
I like this Haynes manual for its general info on the 1982 Vanagon; however, I found a few inaccuracies in the wiring diagrams. It's still useful, but I hope they release a newer version with more accurate details soon!
