Folge sind kulturpolitische Strategien, welche Kultur als Standortfaktor in den Mittelpunkt rcken. Die Erzeugung kreativer Milieus und Bereitstellung eines breiten Angebots kultureller Konsummglichkeiten ist Teil eines umfassenderen Konzepts, innerhalb dessen Kulturpolitik als Teil einer stdtischen Markenpolitik und einer Marktlogiken folgenden Wirtschafts und Stadtentwicklungspolitik angesehen wird. Das Regierungsprogramm 20042008 der christdemokratischen Regierung Hamburgs stellt ein Beispiel eines Stadtentwicklungskonzeptes dar, welches die Wirtschafts, Sozial und Kulturpolitik an einer allen bergeordneten Wettbewerbs und Imagepolitik unter dem Leitbild der Wachsenden Stadt ausrichtet. In dieser Arbeit sollen die Leitgedanken dieses Programms und an einigen Beispielen Aspekte der Kultur und Stadtentwicklungspolitik Hamburgs vorgestellt werden, um sie anschlieend in das Creative City Konzept Charles Landrys einzuordnen. Das Creative City Konzept beschreibt eine neue Methode der strategischen Stadtplanung, nach der sich die Erzeugung kreativer Milieus und die daraus folgende Attraktivitt einer Stadt gezielt beeinflussen lsst, und spiegelt sich teilweise in der Hamburger Kulturpolitik wider, wobei diese aber wichtige Aspekte vernachlssigt. Des Weiteren wird der Creative Class Ansatz Richard Floridas vorgestellt, der ebenfalls in seiner Grundidee in der Hamburger MarketingStrategie wieder zu erkennen ist.
