Die Schrift ist dreiteilig aufgebaut. 1m ersten Abschnitt findet der Leser Informationen iiber die wichtigsten mit dem Wahlgeschehen im Zu sammenhang stehenden Fragen. Es folgt eine Analyse der Entwicklung der parlamentarischen Parteiendemokratie in der vergangenen Legisla turperiode. In einem dritten Abschnitt werden exemplarisch Fragen der Wirtschaftspolitik und der inneren Sicherheit angesprochen, wei! sie nach Auffassung der Autoren wahrend des Wahlkampfs von besonderer po litischer Bedeutung sein konnen. Ein Anhang bietet Erganzungen in Form von leicht verstandlichen Gra fiken, Schaubildern und Tabellen. Weitere Informationen tiber die Wah len und iiber die Parteien geben zahlreiche Einrichtungen der politis chen Bildung in der Bundesrepublik. Die wichtigsten Institutionen sind auf Seite 96 verzeichnet. Ziffern in Klammern, z. B. (1), verweisen auf Quellen, die auf S. 76 an gegeben sind. Ziffern mit Pfeil in Klammern, z. B. (+ 1) sind Hinweise auf Abschnitte, in denen der Begriff, auf den die Klammer folgt, erortert wird.
