Um die steigende Nachfrage im Dienstleistungssektor zu bedienen, werden neue und innovative Dienstleistungen entwickelt. Dabei ist zu beobachten, dass Dienstleistungen, beispielsweise im Gesundheitstourismus, zunehmend intangibler werden. Vor diesem Hintergrund erscheint die Frage danach, wie Intangibilitt das Wahl und Entscheidungsverhalten von Konsumenten beeinflusst, von zentraler Bedeutung fr das Marketing. Die vorliegende Arbeit will das Begriffsverstndnis zum Intangibilittskonstrukt in der Marketingliteratur erweitern und Anste fr eine intensivere Auseinandersetzung mit der Intangibilittsthematik liefern. Fr die Marketingpraxis, gerade im Tourismusmarketing und hier vor allem im Gesundheitstourismus, soll die Notwendigkeit der systematischen Tangibilisierung von Dienstleistungen aufgezeigt werden, indem die negativen Auswirkungen von Intangibilitt auf das Konsumentenverhalten dargestellt werden.
