Von der einen Seite als berbewerteter Hype abgetan, von der anderen Seite als Mittel der basisdemokratischen Revolution idealisiert, haben Weblogs im Bundestagswahlkampf 2005 bereits eine wichtige Rolle gespielt. Mit Hilfe einer Inhaltsanalyse zeichnet Susanne Dietrich, die Entwicklung und Struktur von Themen in deutschen Weblogs einen Monat direkt vor der Bundestagswahl 2005 nach und berprft dabei bisherige theoretische Annahmen und empirische Daten. Zunchst wird die neue Medienform 'Weblog' als Untersuchungsgegenstand definiert und ein allgemeiner berblick ber das Forschungsfeld gegeben. Besondere Aufmerksamkeit wird auch den Modellen medialer Thematisierung, gewidmet, die auf ihre Anwendbarkeit in der Blogosphre berprft werden sollen. Um dynamische Verlufe der Thematisierung zu beschreiben, werden verschiedene Themenzyklenmodelle herangezogen. Um den Charakter der thematisierten Themen zu definieren, werden auerdem Anleihen aus der Nachrichtenwertforschung gemacht. Schlielich wird die Rolle von Weblogs in der Wahlkampfkommunikation genauer analysiert und der Forschungsstand auf diesem speziellen Gebiet aufgezeigt. Auf diese Weise werden die drei Kernbereiche der vorliegenden Arbeit miteinander verknpft: Die Analyse gilt den Thematisierungsprozessen in der Blogosphre whrend des Bundestagswahlkampfes 2005. Die Darstellung der Konzeption der empirischen Studie, sowie die die anschlieende Darstellung der Ergebnisse fhrt zu einer Reihe von interessanten Befunden bezglich der in der Blogosphre genannten Themen und Akteure, der Relevanz von Nachrichtenfaktore
