The book concludes with the tribute Karin presented in honor of her beloved husband, Fred, at his funeral. We all enter the Tar Pit for different reasons, but we all must make our way through it to successfully navigate the grief process. The Tar Pit is one widow's path through the pit to her destination on the other side.
