Doch knnen die Medien, insbesondere das Fernsehen, diesen hohen Anspruch noch erfllen? Drngen nicht vielmehr die mediengerechte Inszenierung der Politik und die konomischen Zwnge der Medien den objektiven berblick ber das Weltgeschehen" (ZDF Schriftenreihe 1992: 44) in den Hintergrund? Dieses Buch soll einen theoretischen berblick darber geben, wie der aufklrende Journalismus im Fernsehen behindert wird. Aufgrund der Flle verschiedener Aspekte im Bereich Politik beschrnkt sich die Betrachtung in Kapitel eins auf die Beziehungen zwischen Journalisten und Politikern sowie auf die politische ffentlichkeitsarbeit. Im zweiten Kapitel werden die wirtschaftlichen Zwnge nher betrachtet, welche der Aufklrung durch das Fernsehen entgegenstehen knnen. Im Anschluss daran befasst sich Kapitel drei mit dem Spezialfall Krieg und seine Auswirkungen auf die journalistische Arbeit.
