I wanted to love The Royal Diaries, but honestly, this one fell flat for me. The writing seemed aimed at a younger audience, which is fine, but felt a bit too simplistic. Plus, my copy arrived with a dented corner, which was disappointing. I expected more from this series.

A Fascinating Dive into the Past
I bought this book, Heart of the Pocassets, for my daughter who loves history. The way it captures life in the 1650s in Massachusetts and Rhode Island is just amazing. The illustrations are beautiful, and it really brings the era to life for young readers. She can't put it down!

Good Read, But Not What I Expected
The Royal Diaries series is usually great, but I found this one a bit lacking compared to others. The story about the Pocassets was interesting, but I feel like it didn't go deep enough into the character's emotions. Still a nice book, just could have been better.
