About the Author Dr. Manfred Gebert stammt aus NeuKaliss in Mecklenburg. Er studierte in Rostock, Greifswald und Berlin. Nach Diplom, Promotion und Habilitation forschte und publizierte er einige Jahre an wissenschaftlichen Instituten in Berlin. Inspiriert von den sozial gravierenden Wendeereignissen in Ostdeutschland wandte er sich diesem Thema literarisch zu. In seinen Romanen "FreeseZeit ist Leben" und "Erlaubt ist, was gefllt" schildert er menschliche Konflikte und Schicksale bei der Umformung der Gesellschaft in Ostdeutschland.
