Die Mrkte, an denen Produkte der Urproduktion gehandelt werden, unterliegen aufgrund ihrer Spezifika besonderen Rahmenbedingungen. Dies gilt in besonderem Mae fr die Holzproduktion und die Vermarktung von Rundholz. Aktuelle Meldungen weisen auf eine derzeit besonders hohe Dynamik am Holzmarkt hin. Die Preise fr Nadelsgerundholz sind seit der Wirtschaftskrise 2009 um 40% auf den hchsten Preis der letzten 16 Jahre gestiegen. Am 3. November 2011 wurde die erste Biomassebrse Europas in Rotterdam erffnet, an welcher vornehmlich Energieholz gehandelt wird. In dieser Arbeit soll der Handel von Holz der ersten Verarbeitungsstufe, mithin von Rundholz bzw. der primre Holzmarkt daraufhin untersucht werden, ob die Funktionen des Wettbewerbs gegeben sind und welche Faktoren die Preisbildung bestimmen. Nach einer Beschreibung des Rundholzmarkts soll eine Abgrenzung von Submrkten erfolgen. Bisher gltige Gliederungen, verwendete Determinanten der Submrkte sowie deren Angebots und Nachfragefunktionen sollen erhoben und gewrdigt werden. Bei der Marktabgrenzung wird die Regionalitt der Mrkte geprft. Nach Klassifikation der Submrkte wird der Frage nachgegangen, ob sie die Kriterien vollkommener Mrkte erfllen bzw. ob sie dem Ideal funktionierenden Wettbewerbs entsprechen. Darauf aufbauend wird geprft, welchen nderungen die Mrkte unterliegen, welchen aktuellen Einflssen der Preisbildungsprozess unterliegt und worin die Dynamik der Holzmrkte begrndet ist.
