Prior to earning her Ph.D., Dr. Leslie earned a Master of Arts in Religion and served as Minister of Christian Education in the United Methodist Church and Salvation Army. Nominated for an Associated Press award in 2002, Dr. Leslie has written for two newspapers, authored over 25 other publications and is a popular speaker at churches and civic groups. Dr. Leslie and her husband, Christopher (a marriage and family therapist), have twin sons, Parker and Forrest.
