Eine Organisation wird dadurch gesteuert, indem man Personen mit operativen Rechten ausstattet und sie so zu Entscheidungstrgern macht. Zentrale Koordination hat den Vorteil aus einer Gesamtsicht die Unternehmensressourcen allokieren zu knnen, da angenommen wird, dass alle Informationen beim zentralen Planer zusammenflieen. Werden die Entscheidungsrechte dezentral vergeben, fungieren Bereichsmanager, die dann alleinverantwortlich fr den Erfolg ihres Bereichs sind. Dabei geniet diese Art der Organisation den Vorteil, dass die Entscheidungstrger die ihnen zur Verfgung stehenden Ressourcen sehr effektiv an die Bereichszustnde anpassen knnen. Da die BM ber den Zustand ihres eigenen Bereichs am besten informiert sind, mssen sie zum einen dem Generalmanager die relevanten Informationen kommunizieren, und zum anderen sich mit den anderen BM austauschen. Ziel einer Organisation ist es, einen mglichst effizienten Tradeoff zwischen Koordination und Adaptierung sicherzustellen. Daher liegt das Hauptaugenmerk der Arbeit in der Analyse des Kommunikationsverhaltens. Aufbauend auf dem klassischen Modell von Crawford und Sobel wird analysiert, unter welchen modellspezifischen Bedingungen Kommunikationsgleichgewichte zwischen den Entscheidungstrgern resultieren. Die Art der Kommunikation wird CheapTalk genannt, da die BM direkt und kostenlos miteinander kommunizieren knnen. Dabei wird auerdem zwischen horizontaler, d.h.
